Some visualization tools from other Autodesk products have been added to AutoCAD 2007 to help with conceptual design. Also new is something Autodesk calls “Trusted DWG.” This is basically a warning that shows up when you use AutoCAD 2007 to open a DWG file made by a non-Autodesk product. Autodesk says that when AutoCAD 2007 comes out, its TrueConvert tool will be updated so that it can translate between versions in groups. News Features of AutoCADĪs expected, this new release changes the DWG format, so files made in 2007 will have to be saved back to older versions of AutoCAD (which won’t be able to open 2007 files).
